About me

I'm Becca, the brains behind the operation. My mission in life is to help and empower others to reach their highest potential. I'm the kind of person who always brings a fresh perspective to the table and am driven by impact. I created Howe Sociale, not only because it was time to leave corporate, but also because I know marketing your business is probably the last thing you want to do. Chances are you want to focus on your mission and who you serve rather than figuring out what to post or who to email. So, if you're here now, I applaud you for that, because that means you truly care about your business, understand the importance of putting yourself out there, and are ready to level up. And I would love the opportunity to help you get your brand in front of the right people and reach your goals.

My experience in marketing and communications for the last decade has taken me in and out of the for-profit and nonprofit industries, with a focus on traditional and digital marketing, advertising, public relations, internal communications, social media management, content creation, branding, copywriting, a smidge of graphic design, and event planning. I desire to deeply understand a brand's target audience and business goals to develop impactful campaigns, beautiful emails that convert, compelling marketing copy & content, and engaging social media content.

I could go on and on, but I'll let you keep scrolling so you can get to know me a little bit more and what I've been up to the last decade. Whenever you're ready to jump on a call after, feel free to book one or send me a message for more information.

WHAT A DECADE

Graduated from Corning Community College with an AA in Science, Liberal Arts: Humanities & Social Science (aka that time I was humbled by my science classes and decided physical therapy wasn't for me). After, I transferred to SUNY Oswego to major in PR with a sequence in marketing and get super involved on campus.

2014

Wrapped my senior year as the secretary of SUNY Oswego's PRSSA, completed my public relations/editorial internship at the SUNY Oswego Alumni Office, graduated from SUNY Oswego with a BA in Public Relations, worked one last summer at Wegmans, and accepted my first "big girl job".

2016

Shortly after graduating, I started my first blog, Your Twenty-Something PR Girl, focused on providing post-grads with career advice and more. That December, I experienced my 10-seconds of fame after going viral on Twitter for [jokingly] asking Chrissy Teigen for the red dress she wore on a Lip Sync Battle episode (yes, she sent it to me). It got a few days of media attention (hello, Refinery29, SELFCosmo, Glamour, TODAY, GMA, local news, and more).

2016 cont.

Joined the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and served on the board, as well as the Big Flats Historical Society marketing committee.

2017

Rebranded, Your Twenty-Something PR Girl to The Twenty-Something PR Girl, a small but important change for myself at the time, and started taking content creation more seriously on Instagram with brand partnerships.

2018

Go lakers!

big year, huh?

One of my favorite career moments to date: rebranding, planning, and executing a local nonprofit conference, Recharge, for the Institute for Human Services, Inc., focused on professional and personal development (also became a yoga instructor and started teaching cardio kickboxing).

2019

Formed Rebecca Louise Communications and Creative Co., LLC to begin my freelancing journey, and took a Co.Starters class through IncubatorWorks to learn how to actually run a business.

2020

Left my corporate finance marketing job in August 2022 to focus on my mental health, travel, and pursue a new path (hint: it's why you're here right now)

2022

Goodbye, The Twenty-Something PR Girl (because, you know, the inevitable happened) and hello, Howe Sociale!

Official launch of howesociale.com!

2023

Completed IncubatorWorks Business Plan Course and received a $3k grant (which is why you are scrolling on my dream website I've wanted for years). Also, joined the marketing and communications committee for the Fund For Women of the Southern Tier
